The next morning, we slept in and woke up in time for the trip to Alona Beach. We didn't visit Virgin Island or go island hopping because we were pressed for time and because of the ferry experience, tried to stay away from anything sea-related- so to speak. Wouldn't you love waking up to this view?

Good morning, Bohol! (Achi Helen and me)
After breakfast, a van dropped us off to Alona Beach which was only 10 minutes away from the resort. The strip reminded me of Boracay but with less people.
|
sand is also similar to Boracay, except less powder-y

perfect coconut tree with shadow post!
The water still didn't seem too safe to swim in so we spent time at one of the restaurants to eat peanut kisses and hang out. I ordered mango shake and they had a couple of beers by the beach.

We still had an hour or two before checkout and the resort's mini lagoon was all ours. (We went night swimming the night before.) We loved the poolside bar so all our photo-ops.

planking with Achi Cha!
Because there were no people around, I couldn't resist doing planking shots by the pool so I'll show you one! (But I hope I don't get in trouble for posting this planking pic. Hahaha!)
Before lunch, we checked out and had lunch before heading to the ferry back to Cebu. Thankfully, there were no more waves, no more barfing and the ride back was 10x smoother and we all fell asleep for 2 hours.
We were all so tired but still managed to continue the food tripping. We had dinner a Co-Jordan, which was similar to
dampa but with a fishing village. We ate fresh crabs and shrimp with our hands. Yummy! One of the best things about Cebu is the yummy, cheap food at almost every corner.
Then we had coffee at La Marea in IT Park. I ordered a caramel machiatto and they served the espresso and milk separately. We also had brownie cream pies, cheesecake which tasted good too.
It was 11PM but we wanted to maximize the vacation so we went to Thai Boran for a foot massage. The foot massage is only P199 but it's one of the best! We had the whole room to ourselves which was filled with reclining lazyboy sofas, relaxing music plus a lavender-minty smell. They also call the service "foot massage" but it's like a semi-full body massage. They massage your hands, back, neck and head They give you hot towels and tea at the end of the massage. Hay, so relaxing!
We went back to my cousin's house that night very relaxed and almost ready to say goodbye to Cebu the next day.
